People playing wheelchair basketballThe University of Maryland Rehabilitation & Orthopaedic Institute wheelchair basketball clinic is a ten-week instructional clinic to learn the basics of wheelchair basketball available to beginner and intermediate level skilled players. Skills will be developed in clinic with instructional sessions taught by experienced wheelchair basketball players. One-hour scrimmages will follow where skills will be put into play. Clinics encourage participation on the court and do not allow people to sit on the sidelines.

Rehabilitation is a life-long process and sports and recreation are an essential part of this process at UM Rehab & Ortho Institute. Our Adapted Sports programs are available to past and present patients, as well as all persons in the community living with physical disability.

Baltimore City Recreation & Parks Therapeutic Recreation Division generously provides the chairs for participant use.

Sports chairs are available on first come, first serve basis.
