Success Story: Anita Krause
An Occupational Therapy Success Story
I came to UM Rehabilitation & Orthopaedic Institute to receive occupational therapy to help with paresis [partial paralysis] and traumatic brain injury from a severe auto accident. Occupational therapy was especially helpful in regaining coordination, strength and movement. I came here with severe stiffness, cramping in the fingers, neck, shoulder and hip, as well as a need for simple daily tasks that most people take for granted. Prior to the car accident, I was very athletically-gifted, so I have only been this way since the accident in 2011. Now, I can dress, wash dishes, bathe and clean my apartment much better than before and with both hands. I strongly recommend the UM Rehab & Ortho team to anyone needing help at any level.
